Dementia Friendly Congregations

Wednesday, January 19, 2022 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Over 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease. The greatest risk factor for Alzheimer’s and other dementia is age. Since most denominations are comprised of older members, it is likely that churches and faith communities have one or more members living with Alzheimer’s. This presents new and challenging opportunities for ministry. The Capital Area Council of Churches is planning to offer a resource for clergy, church leaders and all who are interested.
