Ecumenical Service to Remember September 11, 2001

Sunday September 12, 3 pm Delmar Presbyterian Church and on Facebook Live

On Sunday, September 12 at 3 pm, there will be an ecumenical service remembering September 11, 2001 . The service will be hosted by Delmar Presbyterian Church and produced by the Capital Area Council of Churches. A limited number of people will be in person and the service will be live streamed on Facebook. The offering and other donations resulting from the service will go to USCRI’s Afghan refugee resettlement efforts. Donate at bit.ly/donate9-11.

Attend In Person

In-person attendance is limited to 25 people. Go to https://www.delmarpres.org/rsvp to reserve your seat. Those attending in person will need to, wear face masks and remain socially distanced.

Watch Service on Facebook live.

The service has been set up on Facebook as an event. To watch the service, go to the event on September 12, shortly before 3 pm and look for the Facebook Live link.

Churches Co-Host Service via Facebook Live

Churches can be co-hosts for the ecumenical service. Send an email to capareacc@gmail.com and request to be a host. CACC will make your Facebook page a co-host which you will then need to accept. Once you are a co-host, the service will be streamed on your page. This makes is easy for your congregation to watch the service. The churches listed below are co-hosting the event with CACC.
