Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Interfaith Memorial Service

2012 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Interfaith Memorial Service at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Albany, NY.

Held each year on Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday, January 15, this interfaith memorial service brings community members together to reflect on Dr. King’s legacy. It also includes a time to collect donations for the Capital Area Council of Churches’ Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Awards for area high school seniors.

We invite you to attend!

A big THANK YOU to everyone who attended our 2013 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Interfaith Memorial Service on January 15 at Metropolitan New Testament Mission Baptist Church located at 105 Second Street in Albany, New York. This year’s theme was “40 Years of Gratitude.” Our guest speaker was the Rev. J. Omarr Evens, a 1997 MLK Scholarship recipient. The free-will offering alone raised over $4,000 for the MLK Scholarship Fund! Thank you! We are grateful for your generosity and continued support.
