Scholarships and Awards

Each year the Capital Area Council of Churches makes special awards and honors students with the following scholarships:

• Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship:  Each year on January 15th, the Council sponsors the Martin Luther King, Jr. Interfaith Memorial Service and also awards a Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship to several area students who are about to enter college.

• Hogancamp Scholarship:  Thanks to the generosity of the late Grace Hogancamp, scholarships are also given each year to seminary students.

• The James and Pearl Campbell Peace and Justice Award

• The Joyce Steinkraus Giles Pastoral Service Award

• The Rev. Dr. Carlyle Adams Ecumenical Award
